Sharp Introduces SH8128U and Entry-Level SH8118U Smartphones For Chinese Market; Runs on OS Tapas / Android

Sharp Corporation has introduce two full touchscreen 3G smartphones, the Sharp SH8128U and Sharp SH8118U Smartphones, in the Chinese market which runs on OS Tapas operating system.

The OS Tapas operating system is based on Google Android operating system for mobile devices and is designed in particular for Chinese market supporting local language scripts.

The Sharp SH8128U and Sharp SH8118U Smartphones come equipped with a large touchscreen LCD and user-friendly interface that is touch-oriented, easy-to-use, and intuitive.

The Sharp SH8128U and Sharp SH8118U models are designed for a comfortable fit in the hand and a high-grade visual appearance with simple flowing lines.

Additionally, mobile Internet services and applications that are popular amongst the Chinese youth make it possible to enjoy social networking services, music, e-books, and more.

Facebook and INQ Working on 2 Smartphone

The recent reports stated that Facebook and INQ Mobile Ltd are working together in order to create 2 Smartphone devices which might have the tie up for network with AT&T. These upcoming handsets would come loaded with the services of the social networking site. In the first half of the year 2011, these handsets will be unveiled in Europe, whereas in the second half of 2011 they will be launched in US.

The reports also stated that AT&T has not yet made a deal as to whether it will be a network carrier for the Facebook Smartphone or not. Facebook did not commented about any of its plans but it stated that it will continue to work with INQ which has earlier also sell the handsets that comes with feature of Facebook along with the other companies.

INQ also denied making any comments on the plans of these latest smartphones which are to be launched by Facebook.
